British Airways will be launching direct flights between London Heathrow and Durban (King Shaka International DUR) on 29 October 2018. This is the first direct flight between Durban and any European or British city in over two decades and it opens up wonderful opportunities to access the Drakensberg Mountains (a World Heritage Site), the isiMangaliso Wetlands (a World Heritage Site), the Anglo-Zulu and Anglo-Boer Battlefields, the game reserves of Zululand, and the coastal areas of Maputaland, with their marine reserve areas. And we have our own local guides to bring local art, culture and food scene of Durban city to life for a city stay.

The offer will be valid for all travel between 29 October and 17 December 2018. The only condition is that ONE of the flights must be utilising the British Airways direct route to Durban (either inbound or outbound), which means that other gateways such as Cape Town or Johannesburg can be used for one sector if required.

There is no minimum or maximum stay on the deal and the properties can be combined in any order or used in isolation.

The service is currently three days a week, but will hopefully extend to daily with good support.
