The main National Park areas of Zambia include:
Kafue National Park
Renowned for the Busanga Plains, the landscapes here stretch as far as the eye can see, in an area known for lion sightings and for being among the best spots in Africa for birding.
South Luangwe National Park:
Zambia’s premier game area and deservedly so, with strong populations of elephant, lion and leopard as well a diversity of other mammals and reptiles. This is an area where walking safaris have been honed and perfected and is the premier spot in Africa for this close to nature experience.
Lower Zambezi National Park:
A remarkably beautiful and remote area, on the banks of the Zambezi River and framed by mountains. The National Park has huge Mahogany forests and boasts spectacular sightings of leopard, buffalo and elephant as well as hippo. Activities here include cruises on the river, canoe excursions and game drives. |
